ABOUT
Once In a Blue Moon (OIBM) is a creative platform that encourages, supports and creates unique, site specific performances and events. The idea was born in the exit of 2016 by the designer and theater maker Stavri Papa who wished to make her own site specific performance and wanted a pseudo-name and a platform to act upon.
By definition a Blue Moon is an additional full moon that appears in a subdivision of a year: either the third of four full moons in a season, or a second full moon in a month of the common calendar. The saying “Once In a Blue Moon” is used to refer to a unique occasion that happens rarely but is remembered forever which reflects exactly the tone and kind of events OIBM wishes to support, share and encourage.
In October-November 2018 OIBM produced and presented two site specific performances that were part of the parallel events of the first ever organized Art Biennale in Cyprus. Both performances were sold out. In October, 2020 OIBM was a proud supporter of the greek performance "κάποιοι εγώ" written by Costas Mannouris, directed and performed by Marios Mettis.
