“ Behind closed doors that’s where our true self appears...”
How would it feel to experience a moment in someone else’s private life? How would it feel to witness someone’s true self?
PUNCTUM II is a unique unconventional performance which aims to cause a sensation of eeriness, uncertainty and pensiveness to the observer. There is no narrative... Like a work of art the audience is asked to wonder around, observe and fantasize the story or stories behind each room.
What does the word punctum mean? In Camera Lucida, Barthes (1982), divides photos into two categories, those of “studium” and those of “punctum.” In very simple words those photos viewed as vaguely interesting, from those viewed as piercingly beautiful. Punctum refers to as that aspect (often a detail) that holds the gaze of the viewer without condescending to mere meaning or beauty.
